Dear blogger,, I would like to share about prayer for
spouse. Sounds great? Yeah, absolutely . Actually I have just known
about this since I’ve entered UPH TC. Before, I thought it was too fast to pray
for someone you don’t know yet or pray for the kind of this stuff. You
have to focus with your study and forget this one. However, I was reminded that
prayer for your spouse then, it is same important as you pray for your dream.
Try to think realistic . After you graduate from your university, you will try to
find a job and then the last but not the least, you have to know your another
calling, that is “married” . Anyway, guys we have to know that married
is a calling from God too. The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be
alone. I will make him a helper suitable for him.” (Genesis 2 :18) . From the
first time God had prepared a spouse in our life. As Hawa that life by Adam’s
right ribs, so do we. Especially for the girls, there is exactly a right ribs
of “someone else, for sure man” in our body.
But, in Reality . . We often to see that not everyone fulfill their
callings. There are many of them that prefer life as celibate to married. How
could it be like that? As we shared tonight with Intan and Ribka, I got three
reasons why it could be happened like that.
1. Her spouse rejects his calling and prefer to
life as Celibate.
2. She rejects her calling.
3. She was planned for celibate life by
God.
Actually, we just don’t know what will be happen next; Maybe you
will get married or not. But, we can pray to God to give us the best plan in
our life. From me, myself, I am not ready for live as celibate until now. I
just can’t imagine how to live alone, it’s kinda difficult tobe alone until
your old times.
Let see the 1 and
2 numbers, it is about our choice. Yeah, God prepares but the choices in our
hands, that is called freewill. It will be a possibility for your spouse to
reject his calling or from yourself alone. That is why we have to pray for our
spouse, so he can hear his calling and fulfill it. Moreover we have to pray for
his readiness, pray for his relationship with God, pray for his holiness, pray
for his daily life so he can really ready to be someone that will
accompany 75% from our age, right? And pray for ourselves too so we
can prepare ourselves well to be a good woman that will live with a good man
too.
Finally, I
just want to say, “DON’T REGARD LIGHTLY A PRAYER FOR SPOUSE, IT IS
URGENT ! DO IT START BY NOW” And live happily then.. Me
too... J
