Life of Prayer

11.37
Along this holiday, we do morning devotion in our room with my balcony roommates. Today, my supervisor lead us in this morning devotion. She shared about the Word of God from Matthew 7:7.
" Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you (NIV)"
After that, she asked us to share what we learn from this verse by two until three people in a group. I just want to share what I've got through this passage.
As we already known that God will provide everything that we need. Sometime we might be thinking, why do we need to pray because God provided everything. However, in this verse I see that God wants us to ask Him what we want. It means He wants us to do something, that is through prayer. God wants us to not only wait and wait, but by asking Him. Through prayer, we build relationship, right? Because as we pray, we talk to Him. You know, the relation between us and God often describe as a Child and Father. Of course, when we need something we always ask to our Father and he tries to fulfill it as he can. But sometimes, we might be disappointed when our demand is not fulfilled.
It is kind a same with God even not totally. Because, God is good and full of wisdom. We know there are three answers from God,
"yes = when our demands as God planned
wait = when it is not right time, because God's time is always the best
no = when God's plan is better than our demands"
Through prayer, may be we ever got like three kind of these answers. It is good, because it means we can see the difference of what we want and what we need. We believe that God has planned a great planning in our life. In Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (NIV)"
So, when we got the answer like no or wait, just trust Him and bow down our heart. Because through prayer, we are not asking God to do anything that we want, but to deny yourself and listen to His voice and see how He works in our life. We learn how to trust and obey.
Prayer is not the least or last thing we do, but the first and the greatest thing we can do. Because, God is as far as our knees as we bow down our head and talk to Him, God is always there.

So, as we know this, what we can do?
We can check our life or prayer. Do we really have a though life of prayer? How often we pray? Is it only in our difficult time? No, but as long as we live, even our life and everything that we do. So many people need our prayer.
Or we can make like a list of prayer, from Monday to Sunday the list that we want to pray. Make your life as a life of prayer. And I pray we can hear God's voice clearly. and we can make our life as God wants us to be.

PRAYER
